Wichita Clean Streams & Wichita RiverWalk Cleanup Crew are excited to announce the first-ever Air Capital River Cleanup Competition. Teams will compete against each other to see who can pick up the most trash from the river and downtown. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
Date: Sunday, March 16, 2025
Time: 1 pm to 4 pm
Location: Meet-up location will be emailed by Friday, March 14th to all registered teams

1) Teams will be made up of 5 members. (Teams can add up to 5 additional members under the age of 12 - Note that prizes will only be given to the 5 registered members)
2) During the week of March 10th, each team will receive an email telling you where to report for the cleanup on Sunday, March 16th. There will be multiple meetup locations, so make sure you go to the address on your email.
3) On Sunday, March 16th, you will report to your designated cleanup location to check in with the referee. Check-in will take place from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
4) The event starts at 1:00 pm and lasts until 4:00 pm. Stay as long as you want.
5) When you fill a bag or bags of trash, take it to the check-in table, where they will add the bag to your team's tally.
6) The event officially ends at 4:00 pm, with the last bags needing to be tallied by 4:15 pm.
7) During the following week, check out our website or social media pages to see if your team won! An email will also be sent out to the winners, where we will figure out how to best get the prizes to the winning team.
